Don Bruin, BSc, RVP, RRP, RAS

Don Bruin is a graduate from the University of Guelph. He has worked as a vocational rehabilitation professional since 2003 and has administered and scored a variety of psychometric instruments. He is a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada and has achieved the Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) and the Registered Vocational Professional (RVP) designations from that organization. He is certified to administer and interpret GATB and is a Registered Assessment Specialist in psychometric testing. As a RVP he has expert knowledge in researching and conducting Labour Market Survey’s to develop return to work plans and confirm the availability of occupations within a person’s geographical region. He is knowledgeable of vocational, educational, and psychometric assessment procedures, including tests, work samples, and measures often used in the assessment of a person’s vocational potential. He is very familiar with and able to utilize standard references covering issues of occupations, employment, labour market, and wage resources, e.g. National Occupational Classification Career Handbook database and related documents. He has prepared reports for numerous insurance companies, Workers Compensation Boards, Veterans Affairs Canada as well as various lawyers across Canada. His primary areas of practice and expertise include Transferable Skills Analysis, Vocational Assessments and Evaluations, Labour Market Survey’s, Employment Readiness, Return to Work Plans, Occupational Profile Analysis and Vocational/Rehab Counselling.
